Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Livestock combination farming. Sheep farming. Dusty. Noisy. Wet/damp. Livestock. Poultry and egg production. All weather conditions. Dirty. Work setting: Room and board provided. Urban area. Tasks: Diagnose livestock health issues. Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses. Greenhouse cleaning. Handling animals. Milking goats. Monitoring animal health. Perform animal grooming activities . Perform livestock feeding. Prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving. Shear the sheep. Track and report on current feed inventory . Treat livestock health issues. Weeding. Harvest crops. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain livestock performance records. Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs. Maintain work records and logs. Perform general farm duties. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops.
