Position Title: Laundry Aide Department: Laundry Reports To: Director, Laundry
Are you someone who takes pride in a job well done, values cleanliness, and enjoys being on the move? York General is looking for a dependable and hardworking Laundry Aide to support our mission of providing hygienically clean linen for patients and staff across our healthcare system.
What You'll Do:
• Plan and manage daily workloads on both the clean and soiled sides of laundry operations.
• Operate commercial laundry machines and other equipment safely and effectively.
• Deliver clean linens to various departments across the campus.
• Maintain quality standards and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Drive a full-size van for on-campus deliveries (valid Nebraska Driver's License required).
What We're Looking For:
• Must have a valid Nebraska Driver's License
• A team player with a strong work ethic who can work independently.
• Ability to read and understand safety data sheets.
• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Physically able to meet job demands: lift up to 35 pounds, stand or walk for 95% of the shift, and work in all weather conditions.
