About this role
Responsibilities:
• Reviews drug orders and obtains clarification as needed.
• Regularly consults with medical and nursing staff and others in order to provide a high quality of pharmacy service to the Health System's patients.
• Oversees and reviews the work of technical support personnel.
• Assists in the safe and efficient functioning of the Pharmacy
• Full-time Pharmacists must provide on-call telephone coverage, on a rotating schedule, for after-hours consultation and requests.
• Cover occasional evenings (no overnights) and weekends as necessary
Requirements:
• Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy and at least 1 year of hospital pharmacy work experience.
• Completion of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency preferred; Specialty Residency in Psychiatric or Pediatric Pharmacy an advantage.
• Must possess a valid Maryland Pharmacy license or be eligible for reciprocity at time of appointment and continuously during tenure in position.
• Must comply with all related continuing education requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills sufficient to work cooperatively, tactfully, and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and health professionals.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
