About this role
Summary: Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the property. Working under the supervision of the Superintendent, this role ensures common areas remain tidy and well-maintained.
Essential Responsibilities: Duties include but are not limited to the following:
• Maintaining a clean and groomed appearance in all common areas, including bathrooms, community rooms, and hallways.
• Performing cleaning tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, shampooing rugs, stripping, washing, and waxing floors; cleaning glass surfaces and fixtures.
• Assisting with exterior maintenance, including shoveling and sanding walkways and stairs, sweeping, and lawn care beyond contractual obligations.
• Preparing apartments for turnover in accordance with established guidelines.
• Cleaning and maintaining community buildings, laundry rooms, office spaces, maintenance shops, and surrounding grounds.
• Daily collection and disposal of debris throughout the property.
• Cleaning parking lots and dumpster areas to ensure a neat appearance.
• Assisting the Superintendent with basic maintenance repairs.
• Promptly reporting any health, safety, or environmental concerns to management.
• Assisting the Superintendent with all other duties, as requested.
Salary Range: $18 - $22 per hour commensurate with experience
Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) minimum; and at least one year related experience
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Able to multi-task and work independently with a great attention to detail
Working Conditions/Physical Demand:
• May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock and exposure to pathogens.
• Must be able to travel locally by public or private transportation to make home visits. Valid driver's license, car registration and insurance as applicable.
