About this role
Key Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnose electrical and control-related issues using schematics, meters, and diagnostic tools.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and assist with program modifications when necessary.
• Install, wire, and maintain motors, drives, sensors, relays, and control panels.
• Support equipment upgrades, machine rebuilds, and process improvements.
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.
• Work closely with production personnel to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced maintenance technicians.
Qualifications
Required
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Experience troubleshooting motor controls, VFDs, sensors, relays, and industrial control systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs and automated equipment.
• Ability to safely use electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Preferred
• Technical degree, journeyman certification, or equivalent industrial maintenance training.
• Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred).
• Experience with converting, packaging, printing, or manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of servo systems, robotics, and industrial networking.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work safely around industrial machinery and energized systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
