This position oversees and provides leadership to the entire Housekeeping staff so that facilities are maintained in a clean, orderly and presentable manner by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate staff, as well as demonstrating the GILA WAY.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests. Ensures proper departmental staffing and timely/thorough cleanliness of all facilities is maintained.
• Oversees the preparation and publication of work schedules to ensure proper cleaning coverage throughout the enterprise.
• Maintains cleaning supplies inventory.
• Maintains Ensures and staff is knowledgeable of commercial cleaning methods, technologies, and best practices, and implements appropriate improvements.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Maintains, updates, and distributes Safety Data Sheets, policies, and procedures properly. Responsible for supply orders to ensure that all workers have the necessary materials to properly perform their job duties.
• Responsible for safety, maintenance checks and repairs on all equipment to ensure that it is working properly.
• Oversees departmental budget and maintains fiscal responsibility.
• Ensures that current and new employees are thoroughly trained regarding cleaning duties, proper equipment operation and safe and effective chemical usage.
• Responsible for mentoring and developing Pathways Mentorship Program participants to successfully transition to management levels positions.
• Maintains a dependable work attendance record with extremely infrequent absences and/or lateness.
• Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.
Skills/ Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Four (4) years of commercial cleaning experience required.
• Four (4) years supervisory experience required
• Knowledge of and skill in commercial cleaning techniques and application.
• Knowledge and comprehension of Safety Data Sheets.
• Knowledge of OSHA required commercial cleaning safety practices.

• Must possess excellent guest service skills, be a self-starter with the ability to follow-up and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as well as to gain the cooperation of guests and fellow team members.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
• This position must have, or an ability to acquire within one year, an in-depth knowledge and thorough understanding of Enterprise Policies and Procedures, governmental regulations, and technical rules relevant to their responsibilities.
