About this role
Immaculate Conception School in Towson, Maryland, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Pre-K Instructional Assistant for the 2026-2027 academic school year.
The Instructional Assistant, Elementary School, will provide support to teachers in a classroom setting. This support may include assisting with classroom instruction, grading assignments, preparing materials for class, and providing one-on-one or small-group assistance to students who may need additional support. The successful candidate will help foster a positive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for our youngest learners.
Essential Functions
• Cultivate a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Prepare age-appropriate materials.
• Help organize and prepare resources for students.
• Help in integrating technology to effectively create a 21st-century learning environments within the classroom (ISTE Standards).
• Collaborating with other teachers, staff, students, and parents to support student progress.
• Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management.
• Participate in all faculty meetings, retreats, school committees and in-service learning opportunities.
• Communicate professionally and in a timely manner with parents.
Position Qualifications
• Degree in Elementary Education and/or 90-hour childcare certification preferred.
• Experience in a Catholic School setting preferred.
• Must be an active practicing Catholic.
Pay Rate: $20.00, Hourly
