Job Summary

The UV Coloring Associate is responsible for operating UV coloring equipment to apply color coatings to optical fiber in accordance with production and quality requirements. This position requires monitoring machine performance, completing fiber transactions in Oracle, and ensuring finished products are properly identified, palletized, and routed to the correct destination.

Key responsibilities include re-palletizing colored fiber, coordinating with Shipping and Receiving to facilitate material movement, and maintaining accurate inventory and production records. The associate is also responsible for conducting daily machine inspections, performing routine maintenance activities, and maintaining cleanliness of machine components, tooling, and the surrounding work area to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate UV coloring equipment to process optical fiber according to production specifications.

• Complete inventory and production transactions accurately in Oracle.

• Re-palletize finished colored fiber and prepare material for shipment or internal transfer.

• Coordinate with Shipping and Receiving to ensure timely movement of materials to designated locations.

• Perform daily machine inspections and routine maintenance tasks.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of machine parts, tooling, and the work area.

• Monitor product quality and report any equipment or process issues.

• Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.

• Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Requirements

• High School Diploma

• Demonstrated performer with 3+ years of discrete manufacturing experience in cable manufacturing

• Current AFL manufacturing process certification

• Current EHS/Quality certification and EHS training

• No pending, active, or a repetitive history of disciplinary action

• Very detail oriented (Mistakes cause lose in production)

• Dependable with exceptional attendance history

• Available to work a night shift 2-2-3 schedule (7p-7a)
