Job Type Full Time Opportunity Monday to Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm Flexibility to work extended hours, holidays, and weekends when required. Availability to visit other Popular locations if necessary. Route The assigned route may include the following municipalities: San Juan, Trujillo Alto, Carolina, Canóvanas, Loíza, Río Grande, Luquillo, Fajardo, Ceiba and Naguabo General Description Visits customers with delinquent accounts and attempts to secure payment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage delinquent accounts within the assigned work route. Conduct in-person visits to customers’ residential and workplace addresses for delinquent accounts to offer payment alternatives. Clearly document collection efforts and visit locations on the iPad. .Determine the reason for the customer’s delinquency and record payment arrangements or payments, as applicable. Process cash or check payments made by customers at Popular branch locations. Evaluate delinquent accounts to determine the level of delinquency and manage them according to collection strategies. Repossess vehicles when authorized by the customer or through Self-Help, as applicable. Meet the collection strategies and performance metrics established for the unit. Support initiatives and perform tasks that contribute to the department’s success based on business needs or as assigned by the supervisor. Experience At least two years of related experience in external collections and customer service. Certifications / Licenses Driver's License is required Other Qualifications Positive attitude and willingness to listen, understand, and address customers’ needs in order to provide the best possible solution. Ability to handle complaints and objections both in person and over the phone. Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and maintain a strong sense of urgency. Strong collaboration and teamwork skills to achieve group goals. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Intermediate proficiency in both English and Spanish, spoken and written. Knowledge of Personal Loans, Credit Cards, Lines of Credit, Conventional Auto Loans, and Leasing products (preferred) Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications. Values 1.
