About this role

Job Summary Undergraduate employees will assist the Purdue Soybean Breeding Program with field and laboratory research activities. Duties may include collecting field notes and research data; assisting with soybean harvest; processing field and laboratory samples; analyzing and organizing seed material; and assisting with other plant-breeding and genetics research activities. As students gain experience, reliable employees may have opportunities to become more directly involved in research projects. Education Current Purdue undergraduate student. No specific major is required; students in agronomy, plant science, agricultural systems management, biology, genetics, or a related area are especially encouraged to apply. Experience No prior soybean-breeding or research experience is required; training will be provided. Students must be dependable, able to follow safety and research protocols, comfortable with physically demanding outdoor work, have reliable transportation to ACRE, and have weekday schedules allowing work blocks of at least four hours between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. FLSA Status Non-Exempt
