Graham Buildings U.S.'s Advanced Technology business unit is seeking an experienced Senior Safety Manager to build a comprehensive Safety Program and lead safety on some of the nation's most complex and fast-paced data center and advanced technology construction projects. Based in Dallas, TX , you'll champion a proactive safety culture while partnering with project teams to ensure every employee, trade partner, and visitor goes home safely each day. As a trusted leader, you'll oversee project safety strategy, mentor field safety professionals, drive regulatory compliance, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate with operations to proactively identify and mitigate hazards. What You Will Do: Provide safety expertise in response to identified deficiencies and requests for safety assistance Communicate with project team(s) and field leadership and provide guidance and expertise as it relates to safety and risk management Prepare professional reports, conduct safety briefings, act as a company spokesperson for site safety issues, research and answer site safety questions and concerns Resolve site safety issues and provide emergency response as needed that arise from sub-contractors, customers, employees, and company managers Anticipate & direct safety program elements, as needed, to comply with customer and regulatory requirements Complete comprehensive, in-depth investigations of all injury and loss incidents, identify root cause and causal factors, develop and implement measures to prevent recurrences, and follow up to ensure long-term resolution Lead safety training, testing, and record-keeping for all employees on assigned projects (New Hire Orientation, Equipment Training, Haz Com, Fall Protection, Excavation, Confined Space, Lockout/Tag out, Crane and Rigging, etc.) Manage the assigned project’s safety program budget, planning, acquiring, controlling, and distributing all safety equipment, supplies, and training aids Develop and review site safety plans for the project(s) Ensure a crisis management plan is implemented for the project(s) Ensure procedures are followed for LOTO and first-time energization at project site Develop and participate in RCAs (root cause analysis) to prevent reoccurring events at projects. Identify needs and compose training documents, pre-task plans, permits, training certifications, sign-in sheets, and toolbox meetings Assist with injury case management; coordination with insurance representatives and vendors as assigned by senior safety leadership Assist in the development of environmental and industrial hygiene training and educational programs Provide training and education programs to company personnel and coordinate project EH&S programs with subcontractors Coordinate pre-job safety planning to plan for potential hazards and problems prior to start of job Inspect jobsites to ensure Company EH&S Program and OSHA/EPA compliance Arrange for basic first aid training for jobsite personnel Assist with environmental and OSHA project permits Provide Environmental and Health testing/sampling, as necessary What You Will Bring: Associate degree or BS in EH&S or equivalent combination of education and experience At least 5 years’ experience in construction with safety, environmental and health related issues Experience with data center or other mission critical construction projects Certifications of expertise appropriate to the position, i.e. CSHM, or CHST Thorough knowledge of OSHA Construction and State and Environmental Regulations Ability to recognize training needs and develop training in EH&S Excellent verbal and written communication skills Well-developed presentation skills Excellent people management skills Lay the Foundation for Your Next Career Move.
