PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT PLANNING SECTION

Officer [Role: Project Management/Building Surveyor] (26270162)

The University is seeking dynamic and focused professionals in built environment to join the Estates Office.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Project Management and Development Planning Section by carrying out project management duties for Capital, Alteration, Addition & Improvement (AA&I) and routine maintenance projects; • Assist to coordinate and supervise with external consultants, work contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of construction projects; • Coordinate with the other sections of the Estates Office and other internal departments for matters pertaining procurement of contracts and cost-/budget-related issues; • Take part in preparation of presentation, drawings and data visualisation, as well as production of documentation necessary for tendering and project delivery; • Represent the Estates Office in communicating with internal and external counterparts as required on matters related to project execution; and • Perform other tasks as required by supervisors.

Requirements:

• A recognised degree in Building Surveying/ Construction/ Building or a related discipline with at least two years of relevant work experience; • Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese and proficiency in computer applications to facilitate project and construction management; and • The ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic and changing environment with a service-orientated mindset and positive manner to communicate with others.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with professional qualifications and experience.
