About this role
The Mechanical Assembler in the RE 0638-012-00120 MFG - Admin - 2500 department will be responsible for building and packaging mechanical parts for delivery. The role requires strict adherence to bill‑of‑materials, safety standards, and quality inspections while maintaining a clean work environment. The position operates in a noisy, non‑climate‑controlled warehouse and may involve occasional overtime and limited travel.
• Assemble basic expendable mechanical products according to the bill of material. • Create sealing surfaces on spherical parts by lapping. • Perform visual inspections for mis‑machined, damaged, or abnormal parts. • Operate JIB and overhead cranes, and Class II/IV forklifts as required. • Maintain a clean, orderly work area and equipment. • Follow NOV HSE policies, wear required PPE, and complete safety training. • Use fall protection harness when working at heights. • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. • Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor. • Assist with material handling and packaging for shipment.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. • Minimum 2 years mechanical assembly experience. • Ability to read and write English fluently. • Capability to lift safely up to 45 lb and work with heavy equipment. • Experience operating JIB/overhead cranes and forklifts (reach truck, Hyster 50‑170) preferred. • Willingness to work 40 hours/week, including overtime as needed. • Ability to work in noisy, non‑climate‑controlled warehouse environments. • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to scan/copy documents. • Understanding of JHA documentation and safety procedures. • Limited travel (≤5%) acceptable.
