Infant, Toddler, and Preschool/Kindergarten | Morgan Hill, CA

Montessori School of Silicon Valley is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Teacher/Campus Floater to support classrooms across our Morgan Hill campus. In this role, you will work with children from infancy through kindergarten, helping them develop independence, confidence, and a joyful love of learning.

As a valued member of our campus team, you will move between classrooms to maintain ratios, cover teacher breaks, and provide support wherever it is needed most. You will partner closely with Lead Guides and school leadership to maintain warm, orderly, and developmentally appropriate Montessori environments.

Responsibilities

• Support Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms throughout the school day.

• Collaborate with Lead Guides and campus staff to maintain nurturing, engaging, and safe classroom environments.

• Assist with daily routines, classroom transitions, individual and small-group activities, and teacher coverage.

• Support children’s daily care needs, including diapering, toilet learning, feeding, and rest routines.

• Provide attentive supervision and prioritize the safety and well-being of every child.

• Model calm, respectful guidance and support children through redirection and social-emotional development.

• Prepare classroom materials, refresh shelves, and help keep learning environments clean, organized, and inviting.

• Communicate proactively with classroom teams and administrators regarding coverage, materials, and children’s needs.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education units is required.

• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification.

• Ability to obtain required criminal record and background clearances.

• Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children is preferred.

• Dependable, punctual, and consistent in attendance.

• Warm, professional, patient, and calm, with a positive attitude.

• Strong observational, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt comfortably to different classrooms, age groups, and daily needs.

• Ability to move throughout classrooms and playgrounds and assist with classroom materials and routines.

• Interest in Montessori education. Previous Montessori experience is welcomed but not required, and training will be provided.
