Manufacturing Technician
Highway Machine Co. is looking for a dependable Manufacturing Technician to join our Princeton, Indiana manufacturing team. This position is focused on P&H operations, supporting the production, finishing, material handling, and preparation of large, custom-manufactured gears and components.
You’ll work alongside experienced manufacturing employees to prepare, finish, move, and package large components throughout the production process. This is an opportunity to work in a custom job shop environment where projects vary and attention to quality, safety, and detail is important.

At HMC, you’ll work with large-scale custom components rather than repetitive high-volume production. You’ll gain hands-on experience with a variety of manufacturing processes and equipment while working closely with experienced production, engineering, and quality teams.
What you’ll do:
• Perform P&H operations including part finishing, preparation, and other production support activities
• Perform finishing processes such as deburring, sandblasting, shot peening, and painting
• Load, unload, and move large components and materials using forklifts and overhead cranes
• Prepare and package completed parts for shipment
• Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and engineering specifications
• Maintain material flow between departments and production areas
• Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance or equipment issues
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and other departments to support production
• Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned based on business needs

Preferred, but not required:
• Manufacturing or industrial experience
• Experience operating forklifts or overhead cranes
• Experience with sandblasting, shot peening, painting, or other finishing processes
• Experience working with large components or heavy industrial equipment
Work Environment
Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, moderate to high noise levels, temperature fluctuations, airborne particles, and large industrial components.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks including bending, reaching, lifting, and handling materials
• Ability to safely work around and handle large components and materials
