POSITION SUMMARY:
The Team Leader is responsible for assisting the store managers in maintaining a positive and friendly store environment. Team Leaders assist in training, guest service, hospitality, product knowledge, education, encouraging safe and sanitary work practices, and a demonstrated commitment to our policies and procedures.
STORE OPERATIONS:
• Maintains a clean, organized, and stocked environment, requisitioning additional product when necessary.
• Facilitates effective and positive communication amongst all Team Members.
• Performs all POS duties including opening and closing procedures, and coordinating with AGE HQ as necessary.
• Is responsible for store funds while running a shift and ensures all cash handling procedures are upheld.
• Assists the store managers in maintaining proper Team Member coverage and identifies staffing needs in a timely manner.
• Provides guidance and actively sets an example for Team Members.
• Follows and directs Team Members to follow policies, procedures, and adhere to service, food, beverage, and cleanliness standards.
• Assigns and ensures completion of Team Member duties to support store operations.
• Promotes and practices safe and sanitary work habits, reports potential safety hazards, operational inconsistencies, and Team Member incidents to the store managers.
• Is able to preform all FOH and BOH Team Member duties, and fill sin where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations in all aspects of the store.
SERVICE AND HOSPITALITY:
• Is the role model for EXTREME HOSPITALITY during his/her shift.
• Ensures that all Team Members greet and respond to guests with fast, efficient, friendly, and personalized service.
• Develops a rapport with customers by learning their names, favorite drinks and food items.
• Responds proactively to prevent guest complaints. Investigates and resolves guest incidents swiftly in a constructive and positive manner.
• Consistently monitors, coaches, and encourages Team Members to meet hospitality and service standards.
PRODUCT:
• Ensures that all recipes, specs, and procedures are followed, maintaining the highest quality and consistent product standards.
• Ensures that Team Members are educated on all of our products by being an expert on all of our food, beverages, policies and procedures.
• Tastes products on a per shift basis for quality assurance.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT:
• Communicates and champions our mission, vision, and values, maintaining positive morale and a high-energy, fun work environment. Inspires Team Members to perpetuate our guiding principles to each other and guests.
• Actively uses all training programs in order to develop leaders amongst fellow Team Members.
• Facilitates teamwork amongst employees and management provides coaching and meaningful feedback on performance expectations.
• Attends meetings to align Team Members and ensure a cohesive work environment.
JOB REQUIREMENT:
This position is well suited for a hands-on individual with no less than 2 years of practical restaurant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic equipment.
• Must be able to work overtime, including weekends, evenings, and special events.
• Frequent use of hands and arms, and constitution to stand on feet for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and frequently bend and twist from the waist.
• Well organized and detail oriented, ability to multi-task.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
