About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive PR Intern to join our growing team at a genuinely exciting moment for Cambridge Audio. You’ll get hands-on exposure to every stage of a PR campaign, from securing press and influencer coverage for new product launches, to coordinating sample logistics and supporting activations. It’s a fast-paced, varied role for someone who wants to learn PR from the inside, at a brand with a genuine story to tell.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
Guides & Creator Coverage
• Build and maintain a live tracker of buying guide and gift guide opportunities across target publications, owning submission deadlines and follow-up.
Influencer & Content Coordination
• Own day-to-day influencer content coordination: briefing, gifting logistics, posting schedules and engagement tracking, for always-on and campaign activity.
Reporting & AI-Assisted Workflow
• Compile a monthly coverage report spanning press, YouTube, influencer and guide placements, using our monitoring tools rather than manual tracking.
• Draft first-pass press materials to build core PR skills and product knowledge.
• Use AI tools to help adapt pitch angles for different verticals and to support coverage summaries, for review by the Senior Press Officer.
• Be across the publishing landscape and support regular monitoring of Cambridge Audio and competitor news.
• Research opportunities and keep a finger on the pulse of the global media landscape.
• Stay connected to the UK cultural scene with a strong interest in music, to provide insights and ideas to the team.
Sample & Activation Support
• Coordinate with the team to secure samples for review, gifting and product activations, and own the day-to-day tracking system for UK/EU stock samples.
• Arrange domestic and international shipments with multiple courier providers, track deliveries, and ensure samples are delivered and returned on time.
• Assist the PR team in preparing for local activations, including guest list management, journalist and talent travel and accommodation, dressing, gifting and on-site support.
• Provide proactive support to the wider Marketing team, collaborating closely and assisting across functions as needed.
Requirements
• A fantastic communicator – in person and in writing. You can forge and strengthen relationships equally well over email or over lunch.
• A passion for music is a big plus; a keen interest in technology is a must.
• Knowledge of the PR industry is preferable, with some awareness of tech and lifestyle press and creators.
This is not a “9-5” job and is therefore not for everyone. It requires flexibility, and occasionally, work outside regular hours. Going the extra mile to drive, meet and exceed is a part of the job.
Personal Profile
• Eagerness to learn and help our brand evolve.
• A keen eye for social media and YouTube trends.
• Strong organisational skills, a natural multi-tasker and a willing team player.
What You'll Gain
• Direct experience of generating coverage from day one.
• Hands-on experience with event and activation logistics.
• Mentorship from a small, driven PR team.
• A launchpad into a career in PR, communications or marketing, working with AI tools as standard practice rather than an afterthought.
