Acorn Strategy is looking for an experienced Photographer to join our team in Abu Dhabi in a full-time embedded role with one of our government clients.
Working on-site as part of an integrated communications team, the Photographer will be responsible for capturing high-quality imagery across official events, workshops, conferences, ceremonies, site visits and other corporate and institutional activities.
This is a hands-on role suited to a photographer who is comfortable working in a fast-paced government environment, understands the importance of protocol and discretion, and can consistently produce polished, brand-aligned imagery within short turnaround times.
Key responsibilities
• Provide professional photography coverage for official events, workshops, conferences, ceremonies, site visits and other activities
• Capture executive, stakeholder and corporate photography suitable for media, digital, social and internal communications
• Plan shots and photography requirements in coordination with the communications team
• Select, edit, retouch and colour-correct images to a professional standard
• Deliver high-resolution edited photographs within agreed timelines
• Organise, catalogue and manage photography assets and raw files
• Ensure all imagery aligns with client brand guidelines and communications requirements
• Work closely with the embedded communications team, Video Editor and wider Acorn Strategy team
• Respond to urgent and time-sensitive photography requirements when required
• Maintain appropriate professionalism, confidentiality and discretion when working with senior stakeholders and at official events
What we’re looking for:
• Proven professional experience in corporate, government, institutional or event photography
• Strong portfolio demonstrating event, executive and corporate photography
• Excellent knowledge of professional camera equipment, lighting and photography techniques
• Strong Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop skills, or equivalent professional editing software
• Strong post-production, image selection and retouching capabilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments and deadlines
• Comfortable working in a client-facing, embedded environment
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of brand consistency
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
• Based in Abu Dhabi or able to work full-time on-site in Abu Dhabi
• Arabic and English capability would be an advantage
• Previous UAE government or public-sector experience would be a strong advantage
