Job Title: Cleaning SpecialistJob DescriptionThe Cleaning Specialist maintains clean, safe, and sanitary office environments by performing a wide range of custodial and housekeeping tasks. This role involves cleaning office areas, restrooms, and common spaces, as well as traveling between different job sites as needed. The position suits someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working independently, and can manage physical tasks throughout the day. Responsibilities • Clean office areas thoroughly, including floors, workspaces, and common areas, to maintain a neat and professional environment. • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to ensure all surfaces remain free of dust, debris, and spills. • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and other fixtures, following proper hygiene and safety standards. • Empty trash and recycling receptacles, replace liners, and dispose of waste according to company procedures. • Sanitize high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and shared equipment to help maintain a healthy environment. • Perform general housekeeping tasks, including dusting, wiping surfaces, and organizing spaces as needed. • Use cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly, following all instructions and guidelines. • Maintain an organized approach to cleaning tasks to ensure all assigned areas are completed within scheduled timeframes. • Drive between job sites as needed, using reliable transportation to arrive on time to each location. • Meet at the office in the morning as scheduled and travel in a company vehicle to designated job sites when required. • Adapt to different job locations and cleaning requirements depending on the specific site and daily schedule. • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and instructions from supervisors while on-site. Essential Skills • Ability to clean floors, bathrooms, and other office or living areas thoroughly and efficiently. • Experience or ability in general cleaning, custodial work, or housekeeping, even if gained in informal settings. • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cleaning tasks and areas within a shift. • Ability to sanitize and maintain hygienic conditions in restrooms and common spaces. • Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds as part of daily cleaning duties. • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and twist for extended periods during the shift. • Reliable transportation to travel independently between locations as required. • Willingness to drive between job sites as needed to complete assigned work. • No prior related experience required, but any cleaning or custodial experience is considered a plus. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience in cleaning, custodial, or housekeeping roles is beneficial but not mandatory. • Comfort working independently with minimal direct supervision. • Ability to manage time effectively to complete cleaning tasks within scheduled hours. • Attention to detail to ensure all areas are cleaned to a high standard. • Dependable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility for assigned tasks. You will meet at the office in the morning and may ride in a company vehicle to job sites, while also needing reliable transportation to drive yourself between locations when required. The work is physically active and involves standing, walking, bending, twisting, lifting up to 20 pounds, and performing repetitive cleaning tasks. You will use standard cleaning supplies and equipment in a professional setting, following safety guidelines and maintaining a neat and presentable appearance suitable for office environments. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holmen, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
