About this role

Job Title: General LaborerJob DescriptionThe General Laborer supports daily operations in a construction and concrete production environment by safely using hand and power tools, working with rebar, and assisting throughout the plant as needed. This role requires comfort with physical, repetitive work, accurate measurement using a tape measure, and the ability to follow directions and learn basic blueprints.Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently to support construction and concrete-related tasks. • Work with rebar in a construction or concrete production environment, including handling, positioning, and securing materials as directed. • Read and use a tape measure accurately, including measurements down to a quarter of an inch, to ensure precise cuts and placements. • Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the workday. • Assist with loading, general production, and mechanical tasks around the plant as needed. • Support carpentry and industrial construction activities by preparing materials, maintaining work areas, and following instructions from supervisors. • Perform repetitive tasks in a production setting while maintaining focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. • Follow written and verbal directions, including basic blueprint instructions, to complete assigned tasks correctly. • Maintain a clean and organized work area despite working in a dirty environment due to concrete and outdoor conditions. • Adhere to all safety procedures and use appropriate tools and equipment properly in both indoor and outdoor settings. Essential Skills

• Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools in a construction or industrial environment. • Experience working with rebar in construction or concrete-related work. • Ability to read and utilize a tape measure accurately down to a quarter of an inch. • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. • Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment, both indoors and outdoors. • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and attention to detail. • Willingness and ability to follow directions and learn basic blueprints. • Experience or familiarity with general labor in construction, industrial, or production settings. • Experience in industrial or construction environments, including concrete or general production work. • Experience with carpentry tasks and mechanical or general production duties. • Comfort working in a dirty environment due to concrete and outdoor conditions. • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to help around the plant wherever needed. • Reliability and a strong work ethic in a physically demanding role. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fuquay Varina, NC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
