Aerotek is hiring a Production Manager for a manufacturing company in Delaware!Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Production Manager to lead and oversee all production operations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring customer jobs are completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards, from scheduling through final shipment.Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and manage daily production schedules to maximize efficiency and ensure customer deadlines are met. • Oversee all shop floor operations, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety standards are consistently achieved. • Participate in daily production meetings to communicate priorities, resolve challenges, and align the team on short- and long-term objectives. • Collaborate with Customer Service, Sales, and Purchasing teams to ensure production schedules support customer commitments and business goals. • Order paper, raw materials, and production supplies while maintaining appropriate inventory levels. • Manage inventory, monitor material usage, and conduct regular inventory reviews to reduce waste and prevent shortages. • Coordinate preventative maintenance programs and equipment repairs to maximize uptime and operational efficiency. • Monitor production performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvements, increased efficiency, and cost reduction. • Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout all stages of production. • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop production team members, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. • Plan staffing levels and allocate labor resources effectively to meet production demands. Essential Skills
• Production management • Continuous improvement • 5+ years of production management experience in commercial printing, manufacturing, or a similar production environment • Proven success leading and supervising production teams • Strong scheduling, planning, and organizational skills • Experience managing inventory, purchasing, and production materials • Knowledge of equipment maintenance planning and preventative maintenance programs • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Work EnvironmentThis role operates in a fast-paced, customer-focused production environment, requiring a hands-on approach to leadership and management. The facility emphasizes safety, productivity, and quality, with opportunities for process improvement and efficiency optimization. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Claymont, DE. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
