About this role

Job Title: Warehouse Support / PackerJob DescriptionThis role focuses on supporting warehouse operations with an emphasis on accurate packaging, labeling, sorting, and inventory handling. You work closely with both the warehouse and production teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled correctly and efficiently. You maintain a clean and organized work area, follow all safety and quality procedures, and flexibly assist in different areas of the operation, including basic production and shipping tasks once trained. Responsibilities • Sort and check incoming items from the Production Department, MEF, and Buyers to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Sort, organize, and stage materials according to company standards and workflow requirements. • Package materials in accordance with customer orders, specifications, and internal procedures. • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all packaging, labeling, and kitting activities for products. • Perform kitting of products by assembling and packaging components into complete kits as required. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times. • Report any issues or problems with materials, inventory discrepancies, or equipment to the appropriate coordinator or supervisor. • Adhere to all company safety, quality, and housekeeping standards while handling materials and operating in the warehouse. • Assist with inventory management and control, including counting, tracking, and data entry as needed. • Use basic computer skills to complete data entry and update inventory or shipping information. • Support minimal production tasks as needed, especially once trained and competent in core warehouse duties. • Learn and assist with shipping procedures to provide coverage when the shipper is unavailable, once trained. • Handle materials and products safely, including lifting up to 30 lbs daily and up to 50 lbs on occasion. • Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership to support warehouse and production operations. • Maintain strong attention to detail to minimize errors and ensure high levels of accuracy in all tasks. Essential Skills • Minimum 6 months of warehouse experience, including basic inventory and material handling. • Demonstrated experience with packaging, labeling, sorting, and kitting of products. • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to perform data entry and use basic computer skills for inventory and shipping-related tasks. • Comfort with material handling, including regularly lifting up to 30 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs. • Ability to stand and be on your feet for 8 or more hours per day. • Willingness to perform packaging and related warehouse duties as a core part of the role. • Flexibility to assist in other areas such as production and shipping when needed. • Reliable transportation and ability to work at multiple locations as required. • Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to contribute to a collaborative, “everyone helps out” environment. • Positive attitude and strong work ethic in a fast-paced warehouse and production setting. • Ability to follow safety protocols and quality standards consistently. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous shipping experience is an asset. • Experience using ERP systems or similar inventory/production software is preferred. • Experience with SAP is an advantage. • Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment. • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a small warehouse team and larger production group. • High level of flexibility to move between warehouse, production, and shipping tasks as needed. • Good communication skills to report issues and collaborate with coordinators and supervisors. Work EnvironmentYou work in a clean, quiet warehouse and production facility with a small warehouse team of 2–3 people and approximately 40 individuals in production. The culture is very team-based, with a strong focus on collaboration and helping each other across departments. The pace is fast, and while there is a cleanroom on site, you are not required to work there. The standard schedule is Monday to Friday within a window of approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the main shift typically running from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Start and end times may vary within this range depending on order volume. Lunch is a 30-minute break, commonly taken around 11:00 a.m. Occasional overtime may be available on weekends, primarily at quarter end, but it is not mandatory. The dress code is casual and practical, with closed-toe shoes (running shoes are acceptable) and comfortable clothing suitable for warehouse work. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Surrey, BC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
