Job Title: Structures Mechanic ***This position is in Bridgeton, Missouri***Job DescriptionThis role focuses on performing heavy maintenance, structural repairs, and interior modifications on regional aircraft, including CRJ 700, CRJ 900, and Embraer 145 fleets. You will work in an MRO environment, supporting C and D checks, structural work, and cabin reconfigurations while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.Responsibilities
• Perform structural maintenance and repairs on CRJ 700, CRJ 900, and Embraer 145 aircraft in accordance with maintenance manuals and regulatory requirements. • Support heavy maintenance activities, including C and D checks, ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards. • Execute interior modifications on CRJ 700 aircraft, including reconfiguring cabins from 70 seats to 50 seats by reducing economy seating and expanding first and business class sections. • Carry out sheet metal repairs and fabrication, including drilling, riveting, fitting, and installation of structural components. • Work within a Part 121 and MRO environment, following all applicable procedures, documentation requirements, and company policies. • Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, drawings, and technical data provided on tablets to perform accurate structural and interior work. • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete structural maintenance tasks safely and efficiently. • Document all work performed in accordance with regulatory and company requirements, ensuring accurate and timely records. • Collaborate with other mechanics, inspectors, and support staff to coordinate tasks and minimize aircraft downtime. • Support line maintenance as needed, including troubleshooting and correcting structural discrepancies on active aircraft. • Adhere to all safety protocols, quality standards, and best practices in a non-climate-controlled hangar and on the line. • Work flexible schedules, including various shifts and days, and participate in voluntary overtime as needed while maintaining safety and quality. Essential Skills
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Structures Mechanic, preferably in an MRO environment. • Hands-on experience performing structural work and sheet metal repairs on commercial or regional aircraft. • Familiarity with heavy maintenance operations, including C and D checks. • Experience working in or supporting Part 121 maintenance operations. • Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, and technical data. • Ability to operate and navigate tablet-based systems to access drawings and maintenance documentation. • Current Airframe license. • Strong understanding of aircraft structural components, materials, and repair techniques. • Ability to work any day and shift as required by operational needs. • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• MRO experience on CRJ 700, CRJ 900, and/or Embraer 145 aircraft. • Experience with interior modifications, including cabin reconfigurations and seating changes. • Previous work in Part 121 environments and familiarity with associated regulations and procedures. • Experience with assembly work in aerospace manufacturing environments such as large structural assembly facilities. • Comfort working in a fast-paced maintenance setting with changing priorities and schedules. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions and technical data. • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a maintenance team. ***This position is in Bridgeton, Missouri*** Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of St. Louis, MO. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
