About this role

Job Title: Quality InspectorJob DescriptionJoin our team as a Quality Inspector where you'll perform visual, functional, and dimensional inspections of packed products to ensure they meet global and local quality standards. You will play a critical role in maintaining our commitment to excellence by conducting AQL sampling and packing process audits, and identifying, containing, and managing non-conforming materials. Responsibilities • Conduct visual, functional, and dimensional inspections of packed products. • Perform AQL sampling and packing process audits; ensure adherence to quality standards. • Identify, contain, and manage non-conforming materials following approved procedures. • Generate daily quality reports and update visual management boards. • Communicate quality performance during shift debriefs. • Support production teams with investigations and corrective actions. • Assist Quality Engineers with data collection, sample measurement, and complaint investigations. • Coordinate First Production Release activities for new or modified products. • Maintain and update sample collection lists and ensure timely verification of samples. • Prepare, document, and ship samples to internal and external stakeholders. • Complete and maintain FPR documentation in required systems. • Initiate and follow up on corrective actions identified during audits. • Support implementation of EHS Management System processes. • Participate in incident management and promote safe behaviors. • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve process capability and compliance. • Maintain 5S standards and support audit readiness. • Perform additional duties as assigned. Essential Skills • 3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment or exposure to quality. • Visual inspection experience and testing equipment use. • Ability to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis. • Proficiency in quality control, assurance, and checks. • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office. • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems. • Ability to read and understand technical or quality documentation. • Vision and color differentiation requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications • 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing or quality roles. • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Technical certification or associate degree preferred. • Prior experience in quality auditing or packing operations. The facility maintains a comfortable temperature of 72 degrees year-round. Expect walking for 12 hours and moving between departments. Strict dress code and personal item policies are enforced. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Colonial Heights, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.73 - $29.40/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
