Job Title: PipefitterJob DescriptionThis role offers the opportunity for Pipefitters to work on major industrial projects in Calgary and Red Deer. You will install stainless steel spool piping and associated fittings, contribute to fabrication and installation of pressure piping systems, and support maintenance, installation, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment. You will work closely with experienced tradespeople in both field and shop environments while developing your technical skills and industry knowledge.Essential Skills
• 3rd or 4th year Apprentice Pipefitter or Journeyperson Steamfitter/Pipefitter (309A or 306A or equivalent) with relevant fabrication experience. • Hands-on experience with stainless steel schedule pipe and thin-wall tubing. • Ability to read and interpret fabrication spool drawings and isometric piping diagrams. • Experience with fit-up, assembly, and dimensional verification of piping spools. • Familiarity with hydrostatic testing procedures and basic quality control requirements for piping systems. • Proven ability to work to customer specifications and quality requirements. • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Construction and mechanical installation experience related to piping and pipe fitting. • Experience with pipe installation, threading, and general piping work. • Ability to perform industrial troubleshooting using blueprints and technical documentation. • Valid WHMIS certification. • Valid Fall Protection certification. • Valid Aerial Work Platform (AWP) certification when working in the field (or ability to obtain when required). Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Fabrication shop experience fitting pressure piping systems. • Additional experience with stainless steel schedule pipe and thin-wall tubing in fabrication or field settings. • Experience piping water, steam, gas, and drainage systems in industrial or commercial environments. • Experience installing material handling equipment and plant machinery. • Rigging experience for moving and positioning piping and equipment. • Experience operating scissor lifts, zoom booms, and sit-down forklifts.
