About this role

Job Title: Electrical AssemblerJob DescriptionThis role focuses on performing electrical assembly work on generator packages and control panels. You will carry out point-to-point wiring, terminate electrical connections, and use manufacturer-specific software to help diagnose engine and control system issues. The position requires regular use of hand and power tools, accurate interpretation of work instructions and standard operating procedures, and careful testing of electrical continuity to ensure safe and reliable operation of equipment. Responsibilities • Perform electrical assembly on generator packages and control panels in accordance with established procedures and quality standards. • Carry out point-to-point wiring and terminate electrical connections accurately and neatly. • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, including wire strippers, multimeters, and wire crimpers, to complete assembly and testing tasks. • Read, interpret, and follow work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure correct assembly and wiring. • Conduct continuity testing using a multimeter to verify proper electrical connections and identify potential issues. • Strip and prepare wire for connections while maintaining clean and organized work practices. • Learn and use manufacturer-specific software to diagnose engine and control system problems as needed. • Assist with wiring of control panels, PLCs, relays, generators, and switchgear when required. • Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and maintain high quality standards. • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a safe, orderly work area. Essential Skills • At least 1 year of experience performing point-to-point electrical wiring. • At least 1 year of experience performing continuity testing using a multimeter. • Proficiency in using hand and power tools for electrical assembly work. • Ability to strip wire accurately and efficiently. • Ability to read and follow work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Basic understanding of electrical assembly practices and safe work methods. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with control panel wiring. • Ability to read and work from electrical schematics. • Experience wiring PLCs and relays. • Experience wiring generators or switchgear. • Comfort using manufacturer-specific software to diagnose engine and control system issues. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in electrical assembly work. Work EnvironmentThis position is based at a new facility in Cypress, TX and offers multiple shift options. There are openings on first shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) and second shift (4:00 PM – 12:30 AM), with a third shift planned for the near future for candidates who are open to overnight work. The role involves hands-on electromechanical tasks in a production environment, using tools such as wire strippers, multimeters, wire crimpers, and other hand and power tools. The work setting is focused on assembling and wiring generator packages and control panels, with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and teamwork. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX 77065. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
