Job Title: Fabrication Technician IIIJob DescriptionThe Fabrication Technician III plays a key role in the fabrication and assembly of metal components, using AWS standards and best practices to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position works closely with other team members in a collaborative and supportive setting where safety, precision, and workmanship are top priorities.Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal components according to AWS standards and established company practices. • Read, interpret, and accurately execute fabrication designs, schematics, and advanced blueprints. • Set up and operate fabrication and machining equipment such as mills, lathes, drill presses, and power rollers. • Perform MIG and TIG welding, fitting, and structural steel fabrication in line with quality and safety standards. • Use hand and power tools effectively for cutting, grinding, drilling, and assembling metal parts and chassis. • Accurately calculate and verify measurements using fractions, decimals, and basic math functions to ensure precise fabrication. • Utilize measurement tools such as tape measures (imperial and metric) and calipers to confirm dimensions and tolerances. • Apply an advanced understanding of welding symbols to ensure correct weld types, locations, and procedures. • Work as a self-motivated, collaborative team member, contributing to production goals with minimal supervision. • Follow all warehouse, manufacturing, and welding safety standards and policies at all times. • Support production line activities, including planning and scheduling tasks to meet fabrication deadlines. • Assist with inspection, repair, and adjustment of fabricated assemblies to maintain structural integrity and quality. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are used and stored safely. • Communicate effectively in English to understand work instructions, document work performed, and coordinate with team members. Essential Skills

• Strong ability to read and accurately execute fabrication designs, schematics, and advanced blueprints. • Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation for complex fabrication projects. • Ability to perform accurate measurements and calculations using fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. • Skilled in using measurement tools such as tape measures (imperial and metric) and calipers with a high degree of accuracy. • Hands-on experience using common hand and power tools in a fabrication or manufacturing environment. • Ability to operate fabrication and machining equipment including mill, lathe, drill press, and power roller. • Advanced understanding of welding symbols and their application in production settings. • Experience with MIG welding and TIG welding techniques for production and structural steel work. • Capability to work effectively as a self-motivated, collaborative team player with minimal supervision. • Commitment to adhering to all safety standards and policies in welding, fabrication, and warehouse operations. • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English to follow instructions and communicate with the team. • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform bending, squatting, and twisting as required for fabrication work. • Good hand-eye coordination to perform precise welding, fitting, and assembly tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a production, fabrication, or manufacturing environment. • Familiarity with structural steel fabrication and chassis assembly. • History in production line work, including planning, scheduling, and basic production supervision. • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operation and basic mechanical systems. • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for assembly and repair. • Comfort working with CNC and other machine operation tasks in a manufacturing setting. • Strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement in daily work. The work takes place in a warehouse-type facility with intermittent noise, exposure to dust, and varying temperatures in hot and cold climates. The position requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform frequent bending, squatting, and twisting. Good vision and hearing (with or without corrective aids) and strong hand-eye coordination are essential for safe and precise work. You will regularly use fabrication and machining equipment such as mills, lathes, drill presses, and power rollers, along with a variety of hand and power tools. Steel-toed shoes are required as part of the dress code to ensure safety on the production floor. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, NV. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $37.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
