About this role

Job Title: Maintenance MechanicJob DescriptionJoin our team as a Maintenance Mechanic, where you will utilize your expertise in multiple maintenance or craft occupations to ensure the seamless operation of machines, mechanical equipment, and building structures.Responsibilities

• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings remains intact. • Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine solutions by consulting blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as needed. • Order necessary parts, supplies, and equipment. • Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, machinery, and equipment. • Support company food safety efforts through commitment and compliance with SQF standard practices and policies. • Assist other workers with specific tasks as requested. • Follow plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). • Experience in equipment maintenance, repairing, troubleshooting, and installation. • Electrical and/or mechanical certifications may be required, location specific. • Moderate computer skills. • Must be able to read, write, and speak English. • High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalence Certificate. The facility is not temperature controlled. Enjoy a flexible 2nd or 3rd Shift schedule, Monday - Friday, with 10-hour days amounting to 50 hours a week, and occasional opportunities for overtime. Train on day shifts initially and transition to nights when ready. Bring your toolbox, as any specialty tools will be provided. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Zurich, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
