Job Title: Maintenance Technician II – Mechanical & RoboticsJob DescriptionThis role focuses on supporting the Operations Maintenance team by repairing, maintaining, and improving material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, and automated packaging and distribution equipment within a large-scale facility. You will apply strong mechanical troubleshooting skills to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. Responsibilities • Repair and maintain material handling equipment throughout the facility to ensure reliable and safe operation. • Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment to support continuous workflow. • Troubleshoot mechanical issues on a wide range of machinery and systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. • Support the Operations Maintenance team in performing routine and preventive maintenance on equipment and pneumatic systems. • Inspect equipment and systems regularly to detect potential problems and address them before they cause downtime. • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately to support ongoing equipment reliability. • Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and operations staff to prioritize tasks and minimize impact on production. • Follow established safety procedures and maintenance standards while working on mechanical and pneumatic systems. Essential Skills • Proven mechanical troubleshooting skills for complex material handling and automated equipment. • Experience repairing and maintaining material handling equipment in an industrial or warehouse environment. • Experience working with pneumatic systems, including maintenance and repair. • Ability to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Ability to work effectively as part of an Operations Maintenance team. • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in an automated distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environment. • Familiarity with standard maintenance documentation and recordkeeping practices. • Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance tasks in a fast-paced setting. • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to equipment reliability. Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a large, automated facility that uses material handling systems, pneumatic equipment, and automated packaging and distribution technologies. You will work on-site around active machinery and conveyor systems, performing hands-on maintenance and repairs. The position typically involves standing, walking, and working in and around equipment for extended periods, as well as using standard maintenance tools and equipment. Work hours may include shifts and occasional overtime to support operational needs, and you will follow established safety procedures and site guidelines while on the floor. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Shreveport, LA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
