Avionics Technician Location: Philadelphia Area, PAPay: Up to $40/hr based on experience (Per diem available for eligible candidates)Position Type: 6-Month Contract-to-HireShift: 1st and 2nd Shift OpeningsJob Description We are seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to support maintenance, installation, and modification projects on helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. This role involves troubleshooting avionics systems, performing wiring and harness work, and ensuring all work is completed to regulatory and company quality standards. Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot, repair, and install avionics systems and components. • Fabricate, route, and terminate aircraft wiring and wire harnesses. • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals. • Perform functional testing and system checks. • Complete maintenance records and required documentation. • Support aircraft modification, upgrade, and inspection projects. • Follow all safety and quality procedures. Qualifications
• 4+ years of avionics experience in an aviation environment. • Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. • Experience with avionics installations, repairs, and wire harness fabrication. • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings. • Ability to work overtime as project demands require. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with helicopter avionics systems. • Familiarity with Garmin, Honeywell, or similar avionics equipment. • FAA A&P certification and/or FCC GROL. • Experience in commercial, military, corporate, or rotorcraft operations. Work Environment Work is performed in a fast-paced hangar environment supporting aircraft maintenance, modifications, and avionics upgrades. Candidates should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bensalem, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
