Job Title: Production Worker - Night ShiftJob DescriptionJoin our team as a Production Worker in a dynamic food manufacturing environment. You will be involved in various stages of production, working on production lines, boxing, stacking, loading, and unloading products. This role offers the opportunity to learn and progress within the company. Responsibilities • Work on production lines handling food products. • Box and stack products efficiently. • Load and unload products into machines. • Palletize products and wrap them securely. • Handle boxes weighing 15-20 pounds, feeding them into machines or stacking them on pallets. • Open boxes with empty glass bottles and feed them into production machines. • Maintain cleanliness of the work area throughout the day. • Follow all GMP practices. Essential Skills • Experience in production, general labor, and warehouse environments. • Ability to lift 15-20 pounds. • Capability to work on feet for shifts ranging from 10-12 hours. • Teamwork skills to collaborate effectively on a production line. • Comfortable working on a high-speed production line. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Familiarity with pallet jacks and packaging processes. • Understanding of palletizing techniques. Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a production setting without air conditioning or heating, where temperatures vary seasonally. You will be working around food products with strong smells, such as garlic, jalapenos, salsa, and taco sauce. Safety gear including gloves, beard nets, hair nets, ear plugs, and safety glasses are provided, while steel-toe boots are required. Temporary workers wear royal blue shirts, provided by the company. The facility accommodates 10-20 people per line and up to 160-200 in peak seasons, with a diverse workforce that predominantly speaks Spanish or Haitian Creole. Lockers and a break room with microwaves and vending machines are available. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hurlock, MD. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.25 - $15.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
