Job Title: InspectorJob DescriptionThe Inspector performs product inspections and verifies compliance with drawings, specifications, and internal procedures with minimal supervision. This role focuses on validating supplier certifications, inspecting finished hardware using basic inspection tools, executing first article reports to AS9102 standards, and accurately recording results in quality-related software and ERP systems. The Inspector supports lean process improvements while consistently meeting job deadlines and maintaining high standards of quality and integrity.Responsibilities

• Perform simple product inspections and complete supporting documentation to verify actual results against drawing and specification requirements with minimal supervision. • Verify supplier approval status and certifications against drawing and specification requirements to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Inspect finished hardware to confirm compliance with drawing requirements, considering shop practices related to unfinished hardware, including visual verification of machined areas. • Understand, follow, and conform to internal company procedures and quality standards. • Perform basic mathematical calculations required for inspection and documentation activities. • Effectively inspect products using basic inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gages, height gages, and other measurement devices as needed. • Conduct visual inspections to identify defects, nonconformances, and deviations from specifications. • Use quality-related software and ERP systems to accurately record inspection results and job data based on completed processes. • Meet deadlines for assigned inspection jobs while maintaining the integrity and thoroughness required for the role. • Seek, document, and share lean process improvement ideas to enhance inspection efficiency and product quality. • Execute formal first article inspection reports in accordance with AS9102 standards. • Review Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) and related documentation for accuracy and completeness. • Obtain customer source delegation when required and ensure compliance with applicable customer requirements. • Support quality assurance and quality control activities through detailed reporting, quality checks, and documentation. • Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles during inspection to assess dimensional compliance. Essential Skills

• Experience performing product inspections and verifying results against drawings and specifications. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Proficiency with basic inspection tools, including micrometers, calipers, bore gages, height gages, and similar measurement devices. • Strong visual inspection skills to identify defects and nonconformances. • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations to support measurement and inspection activities. • Familiarity with quality control, quality assurance, and quality inspection processes. • Experience using quality-related software and ERP systems to record inspection results and job data. • Ability to execute first article inspection reports to AS9102 standards. • Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) concepts as they apply to inspection. • Capability to follow and conform to internal company procedures and quality standards. • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting. • Ability to manage workload to meet deadlines while maintaining thorough and reliable inspection practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace manufacturing or aerospace inspection is a plus but not required. • Experience in production or manufacturing environments with exposure to quality checks and quality control. • Comfort working with Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) and formal reporting requirements. • Ability to identify and suggest lean process improvement opportunities. • Strong communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams. • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in quality and inspection practices. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valencia, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
