CarpenterJob DescriptionThis role focuses on commercial and industrial carpentry in a high-security, safety-critical environment. You will perform skilled framing and finish work, build and repair industrial structures, and support marine-adjacent construction within advanced manufacturing facilities. The position requires strong technical carpentry skills, precise execution, and the ability to work from detailed construction drawings in secure, fast-paced settings.Responsibilities

• Construct and install commercial framing systems, including walls, partitions, platforms, and structural assemblies using wood, metal studs, and engineered materials. • Install doors, hardware, trim, casework, and specialty finishes in industrial and office spaces with a high level of craftsmanship. • Perform industrial carpentry tasks such as building and repairing work platforms, equipment enclosures, protective barriers, and facility infrastructure. • Interpret and follow construction blueprints, specifications, and site instructions to complete projects accurately and efficiently. • Support marine-adjacent construction activities in manufacturing spaces, tooling areas, and production support structures. • Execute structural framing and interior systems work, including drywall, blocking, and industrial-grade installations. • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete construction, renovation, and maintenance projects. • Coordinate daily activities with other trades and team members in fast-paced industrial and shipyard environments. • Maintain strict adherence to safety, security, and access protocols required for work on secure and defense-related facilities. • Work reliably and professionally on active construction sites, including indoor and outdoor areas, while meeting project deadlines and quality standards. Essential Skills

• Commercial carpentry experience, including framing and finish work. • Proficiency with hand and power tools commonly used in commercial construction. • Ability to perform accurate layout and measurement in high-precision environments. • Experience with metal stud framing, drywall systems, blocking, and industrial-grade installations. • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents. • Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work safely in active construction zones. • Experience working on defense or other secure facilities. • Familiarity with marine or shipyard environments and related construction conditions. • OSHA 10 certification. • Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple trades in fast-paced industrial settings. • Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and attention to safety in high-security environments. • Experience supporting marine manufacturing spaces, tooling areas, or production support structures. • Experience in restoration or renovation carpentry in commercial or industrial settings. • Comfort working on projects that support advanced manufacturing operations. • Strong communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving construction and installation issues. • Commitment to continuous improvement in safety practices and workmanship quality. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Kingstown, RI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
