Entry Level positon Start ASAP 7am-7pm or 7pm-7amJob Title: Saw Helper7am-7pm or 7pm-7am Job DescriptionThe Saw Helper supports the Saw Operator throughout the shift by preparing materials, assisting with machine operations, and performing general production tasks. This is a basic entry-level role that offers an excellent opportunity to learn saw operation and manufacturing processes and to grow into more advanced positions over time. The position requires reliability, strong attendance, and the ability to work rotating 12-hour night shifts.Responsibilities
• Support the Saw Operator during the entire shift by assisting with saw operation and related tasks. • Retrieve product and materials from designated areas and set them up for cutting according to work orders. • Assist with general production activities, including assembly, packaging, banding, and material handling. • Operate or assist with machine operation as directed, including saws and related production equipment. • Use hand tools and a tape measure to verify material dimensions and ensure products meet specifications. • Follow written work orders, safety instructions, and manuals to complete tasks accurately and safely. • Maintain a clean and organized work area in a dirty, dusty manufacturing environment. • Adhere to all safety procedures, including the use of required safety equipment in the manufacturing area. • Work 12-hour rotating night shifts and maintain consistent, dependable attendance. • Handle materials and products in accordance with facility rules, including restrictions on plastic and canned items in the work area. Essential Skills
• 0–1 years of work experience in a manufacturing, production, or general labor environment. • Ability to stand on feet for 12-hour shifts in a physically demanding setting. • Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety instructions, and manuals. • Basic math skills for measuring materials and verifying product specifications. • Willingness and ability to work rotating 12-hour night shifts. • Reliability and strong attendance habits. • Comfort working in a dirty, dusty, non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dover, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.85 - $18.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
