Job Title: Machine OperatorJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled machine operator to assist with general labor duties. The main responsibility will be operating a shot blasting machine, but the role may also include moving materials and parts, grinding, or deburring components. Responsibilities • Operate the shot blasting machine efficiently and safely. • Perform general labor tasks such as moving materials and parts. • Engage in grinding and deburring of parts as needed. • Conduct machine set-ups, changeovers, and adjustments. • Handle tool changes and ensure all equipment is in optimal condition. • Inspect parts and components to ensure quality standards are met. • Interpret and work from blueprints and production specifications. Essential Skills • Proficiency in machine operation with at least 5 years of experience. • Experience with CNC or similar equipment. • Strong knowledge of metals and general labor tasks. • Ability to use hand and power tools effectively. • Familiarity with assembly processes and blueprint reading. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Trainable and adaptable to new tasks and technologies. • Experience with shot blasting and inspection processes. Work EnvironmentWork in a full-service steel fabricating facility that offers services such as oxy fuel, plasma, laser, and band saw cutting, along with CNC machining, robot welding, and more. The facility operates on a first shift from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday, with potential for extended hours. Please note that this is a non-climate controlled environment, which can be loud and dirty, and very hot during the summer months. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
