Job Title: Clean Room OperatorJob DescriptionThe Clean Room Operator safely operates and monitors production equipment in a controlled cleanroom environment while strictly following standard operating procedures. This role ensures that raw materials, in-process products, and finished electrodes or assemblies meet defined quality standards. The operator accurately records production and quality data, supports basic troubleshooting, and performs routine cleaning and minor maintenance to keep equipment and work areas safe, organized, and compliant. Responsibilities • Operate and monitor production equipment in a cleanroom environment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Follow all safety rules and consistently wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including full cleanroom attire. • Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished electrodes or assemblies to ensure they meet established quality standards. • Accurately record production data, equipment readings, and quality checks in designated systems and logs. • Identify and report basic equipment or process issues and assist in troubleshooting to minimize downtime. • Operate industrial equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to safely transfer raw materials and semi-finished products. • Perform routine cleaning of machines, tools, and work areas to maintain a safe, orderly, and contamination-controlled environment. • Conduct minor maintenance tasks on production equipment as directed to support reliable and efficient operation. • Work around chemicals in a safe and controlled manner, adhering to all handling and safety protocols. • Support general production, assembly, and machine operation tasks as needed to meet production goals. • Maintain consistent productivity and quality while working 12-hour shifts, including rotating schedules as assigned. Essential Skills • Ability to read, understand, and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and written instructions. • Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. • Comfortable standing for 12-hour shifts in a production environment. • Comfortable wearing a bunny suit and full cleanroom PPE for extended periods. • Comfortable working around chemicals in a cleanroom setting. • Experience with general production, machine operation, assembly, or general labor. • Ability to operate or learn to operate industrial equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. • Strong attention to detail for accurate inspection and data recording. • Reliability and consistency in following safety, quality, and cleanliness standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. • Previous experience in a cleanroom environment is preferred. • Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and contamination control is an advantage. • Comfort working rotating 12-hour shifts, including days and nights as needed. • Basic mechanical aptitude to support minor maintenance and troubleshooting. Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a controlled cleanroom production environment that requires full cleanroom PPE, including a bunny suit, and adherence to strict contamination-control and safety procedures. Team members regularly work around chemicals and operate production machinery, as well as industrial equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a facility designed for high-volume manufacturing. The position involves 12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule. Day shifts include an A Shift from 7:55 AM to 8:25 PM, Sunday through Tuesday, rotating every other Wednesday, and a B-type day shift from 7:55 AM to 8:25 PM, Thursday through Saturday, rotating every other Wednesday. Night shifts, once active, include a C Shift from 8:25 PM to 7:55 AM, Sunday through Tuesday, rotating every other Saturday, and a D Shift from 8:25 PM to 7:55 AM, Wednesday through Friday, rotating every other Saturday. A 16% premium applies to night shift hours. The work requires standing for most of the shift, frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, and consistent use of cleanroom attire and PPE to maintain a safe, orderly, and contamination-controlled workspace. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $21.46/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
