Job Title: Warehouse Shipping and Receiving ClerkJob DescriptionThis role focuses on accurately managing the shipping and receiving of a wide range of military-related products in a busy warehouse environment. You will handle incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain precise documentation, and use warehouse management and ERP systems to ensure orders move efficiently and correctly through the supply chain. Responsibilities • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems to process, track, and update shipment and inventory information. • Perform thorough visual checks on products before shipping to confirm quality, accuracy, and compliance with customer requirements. • Accurately document and report any discrepancies, damages, or issues with incoming or outgoing shipments. • Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to customer specifications and carrier requirements, including proper labeling and packaging standards. • Generate shipping labels and documentation using internal systems, ensuring all paperwork is complete and accurate. • Coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries, including scheduling, communication, and resolving any logistical issues. • Assist with international shipping processes, including export documentation and compliance, as needed. • Support inventory control activities by assisting with inventory counts, cycle audits, and reconciliation of stock records. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area to support efficient warehouse operations. • Collaborate with warehouse team members and other departments to ensure timely order fulfillment and shipment accuracy. • Use data entry and email communication tools to update records, share information, and respond to internal and external inquiries. Essential Skills • At least 3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics roles. • Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes, including handling incoming and outgoing freight. • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems for tracking inventory and processing orders. • Working knowledge of Oracle and Salesforce systems. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for documentation, communication, and reporting. • Experience with data entry and professional email communication. • Experience with inventory control, including reading and following work orders. • Familiarity with freight carriers, customs brokers, and shipment coordination processes. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and product verification. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to work in a warehouse environment and lift up to 50 pounds. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with international shipping and export documentation. • Knowledge of export compliance requirements. • Hazmat shipping experience or certification is preferred. • Experience with SAP or similar warehouse and enterprise systems. • Background in warehouse operations, inventory control, and packaging. • Experience with shipping and receiving military-related or specialized products. • Comfort using warehouse management tools and systems to support daily operations. You will regularly use warehouse management systems, ERP platforms, and office software while working on the warehouse floor and in shipping and receiving areas. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
