Aerotek is hiring for Electricians Long term project, working 58 hours a week Community College and industrial projects Job DescriptionThis role is for an experienced commercial electrician to lead work on multiple projects in the Charlotte area. You will work a standard 40-hour week from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, performing a wide range of commercial electrical tasks. The position begins as a contract role with the potential to transition to a permanent hire after approximately six months based on performance.Responsibilities
• Lead and perform commercial electrical installations on various projects in the Charlotte area. • Run EMT and other conduit systems accurately and efficiently according to project specifications and electrical codes. • Pull wire and MC cable safely and effectively for commercial electrical systems. • Install electrical devices such as receptacles, switches, lighting fixtures, and other commercial-grade components. • Assist with panel work, including wiring and terminations, ensuring neat, code-compliant installations. • Read and interpret electrical blueprints and drawings to plan and execute installations. • Perform conduit bending, including EMT bending, to meet layout requirements and maintain professional workmanship. • Run conduit in a clean, organized manner that supports long-term maintenance and system reliability. • Work collaboratively with the project team, demonstrating strong teamwork and professionalism on site. • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area throughout each project. • Communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers about project status, material needs, and any issues that arise. • Support a productive work environment by being punctual, reliable, and focused on high-quality results. Essential Skills
• Proven experience as a commercial electrician, with strong proficiency in standard commercial electrical work. • Hands-on experience running EMT and other types of conduit on commercial projects. • Ability to pull wire and MC cable safely and efficiently in a commercial environment. • Demonstrated skill in installing commercial electrical devices, including outlets, switches, and lighting. • Experience performing panel work and wiring in commercial settings. • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and construction drawings. • Strong conduit bending skills, including EMT bending, with attention to accuracy and appearance. • Capability to run conduit in accordance with plans, codes, and best practices. • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work well with others on active job sites. • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic, including reliability and attention to detail. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
