Laboratory Assistant - Entry Level Excellent Hands-On Experience | Offers Benefits | Day Shift Job DescriptionThe Laboratory Assistant accurately receives incoming laboratory samples, ensuring all data is entered into the appropriate systems and prepared for testing in a timely and organized manner. This role supports the overall quality and efficiency of the lab by maintaining precise records, adhering to quality system requirements, and helping keep the sample receiving area clean and safe. Responsibilities

• Receive and register incoming samples from the shipping department, ensuring all samples are logged accurately and promptly. • Maintain neat, organized, and accurate records of daily work performed, including documentation needed for quality control tests and regulatory purposes. • Enter sample data into DQCI LIMS or Eurofins eLIMS systems, either manually or through automatic data export, while verifying completeness and accuracy. • Verify test results and submit results, electronically or in hard copy, to the appropriate personnel for laboratory testing and review. • Perform routine cleaning of glassware, vials, and workstations to maintain a safe, orderly, and efficient workspace. • Handle samples of milk and other materials using appropriate aseptic techniques to support accurate microbiological and wet chemistry testing. • Communicate clearly and consistently with team members to coordinate workflow and maintain pace in a fast-paced sample receiving environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• BA/BS in a scientific discipline is preferred and supports advancement to higher lab technician levels. • Two-year or four-year degree in biology or another scientific field is preferred, but candidates without a degree are also considered. • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) is required to advance beyond this level within the lab technician career ladder. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
