Job Title: Architectural DesignerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Architectural Designer to support architectural projects from Schematic Design (SD) through Construction Documents (CD). You will produce and coordinate detailed construction documents in Revit, translate conceptual designs and sketches into accurate technical drawings, and collaborate with consultants and contractors to ensure design intent and technical requirements are met. Effective communication with clients and team members, participation in site visits, and attendance at client meetings are crucial to this role. The ability to balance and prioritize responsibilities across multiple projects is essential. Responsibilities • Support architectural projects from Schematic Design (SD) through Construction Documents (CD). • Produce and coordinate detailed construction documents in Revit. • Translate conceptual designs, sketches, and redlines into accurate technical drawings and project documentation. • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and team members to ensure design intent and technical requirements are met. • Participate in QA/QC reviews to maintain drawing accuracy and compliance with standards. • Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team members. • Participate in site visits and client meetings. • Successfully balance and prioritize responsibilities across multiple projects simultaneously. Essential Skills • Proficiency in Revit and ability to independently produce construction documents. • 4-6 years of post-graduate experience. • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture. • Strong technical proficiency with a collaborative mindset. • Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously (4-5 projects). • Experience working independently from SD to CD. • Strong communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Licensure is a plus. • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp. • Rendering experience is beneficial. • Project management experience is preferred. • Experience in multifamily projects is preferred. Work EnvironmentThe office, located on Michigan Ave, consists of a team of 20, with plans to grow to 24. A hybrid schedule is available, with 4 days in-person and Fridays work-from-home. New employees should expect to come in 5 days a week for the first 1-2 months for training. Office hours are 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with flexible options available. Overtime is not expected, but if required, it is limited, and the team typically orders in pizzas. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.29 - $36.06/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
