About this role

NPI EngineerThis is a great role for an engineer who doesn't want to be limited to one narrow discipline. You will have the opportunity to work on the entire system—from mechanical design and component selection through controls programming, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.Immediate Key Responsibilities• Lead installation, commissioning, and startup of complex process equipment • Execute and document FAT/SAT activities, verifying system functionality and customer requirements• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and process issues to ensure successful equipment acceptance • Participate in new product and system development• Develop and maintain engineering drawings, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation• Integrate pumps, valves, motors, VFDs, sensors, transmitters, and other instrumentation• Work directly with manufacturing technicians during equipment assembly• Work with customers, vendors, technicians, and other engineers to solve technical problemsLong-term Responsibilities(training provided):• Design mechanical equipment, assemblies, frames, piping layouts, and components using SolidWorks• Design and modify automated process equipment and purification systems• Improve and standardize existing equipment designs• Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs• Develop and modify HMI interfaces• Develop equipment sequences, alarms, interlocks, and control logic• Read and develop P&IDs and electrical/control schematics• Select mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation components• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and controls issues• Perform system startup, testing, debugging, and factory acceptance testing• Support installation and commissioning of equipment at customer facilitiesRequired Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience• Experience designing mechanical equipment using SolidWorks• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills• Comfortable working hands-on with actual equipment—not just designing from a desk• Ability to independently solve technical problems and take ownership of projectsPreferred Qualifications• 3–7+ years of experience designing or developing automated equipment• Experience programming or troubleshooting PLCs• Understanding of industrial automation and control systems• Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics• Experience working with sensors, instrumentation, motors, valves, and other industrial components• PLC/HMI experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, AutomationDirect, or similar platforms• Experience with VFDs, analog instrumentation, digital I/O, communications, and industrial networking• Experience with automated machinery, process skids, water treatment, filtration, biotech/pharmaceutical equipment,laboratory equipment, or similar systems• Experience taking equipment from concept through design, fabrication, programming, testing, and commissioning• Experience working for an OEM, machine builder, or systems integrator• Experience developing standardized or configurable equipment platforms Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Nashua, NH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
