Job Title: R&D Lab Technician - 2nd Shift (start out training on 1st)Job DescriptionThe job holder is primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of the R&D laboratory. Manage chemical inventory stock levels, perform experiments at the direction of R&D engineering staff and help support daily Quality operations with GC work. Responsibilities:
• Perform hands-on tasks for product development or modification, including but not limited to: measurement and mixing of chemical reagents, hot face roll milling, physical property testing and analytical chemistry. • Interpret and analyze data to provide feedback and recommendations to R&D Engineering. • Record data, keep R&D project files up to date and archive project files in accordance with the Company’s established procedures and any protocols issued by R&D Engineering. • Maintain and organize stock of over 200 chemicals used in day-to-day laboratory operations. • Ensure R&D laboratory area is clean and well organized. • Operate Gas Chromatographer (GC machine) to detect chemical contaminants in manufacturing production lots; notifying key personnel in a timely manner when regulatory limits have been breached, in support of the Operations and Quality team. • Carry out any other work or projects as directed by the R&D Engineer Experience:Knowledge/Experience: 2+ years of related experience Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
