About this role
GENERAL DESCRIPTION We are looking for a Cloud Platform Specialist to join our Cloud Business Office and help build, automate, and continuously improve our enterprise cloud platform. In this hands-on and collaborative role, you will transform cloud standards and architectural patterns into secure, reusable, and easy-to-consume capabilities. Working across Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform, you will help development teams provision infrastructure and deliver applications with greater autonomy, consistency, and speed. We are looking for someone who combines cloud engineering, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and automation skills with an interest in developer experience and platform product management. You will collaborate with development, architecture, security, operations, and product teams in an international, English-speaking environment. YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
• Build and evolve secure, scalable cloud foundations across Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform, while working closely with global security and architecture teams
• Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code modules, templates, and reference implementations using Terraform, or similar technologies.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines that automate infrastructure testing, security validation, policy enforcement, and deployment.
• Automate cloud provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management using scripting tools (go, powershell, ruby)
• Contribute to landing zones and standards for identity, networking, security, observability, resource organization, and cost management.
• Create paved paths, and self-service capabilities that help development teams deliver applications more quickly and consistently.
• Work directly with developers to identify friction, reduce infrastructure complexity, and improve the overall developer experience.
• Support application and project teams in adopting cloud, IaC, CI/CD, automation, and platform-engineering practices.
• Produce clear technical documentation, implementation examples, and onboarding guidance in English.
• Improve platform reliability, security, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness through automation and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the platform support queue by resolving technical requests and using recurring issues to improve documentation, automation, and self-service capabilities.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
• Hands-on experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong practical experience with Azure or GCP, along with the interest and ability to work across both platforms. Experience with both is an advantage but is not required.
• Relevant Azure, GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, or cloud-security certifications are an advantage
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
• Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD.
• Infrastructure automation or scripting experience with Go, Bash, PowerShell,Ruby or a comparable language.
• Working knowledge of Git, cloud networking, identity and access management, secrets management, security, and observability.
• Familiarity with containers and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including AKS or GKE.
• An understanding of cloud foundations, landing zones, policy as code, GitOps, FinOps, or Site Reliability Engineering practices.
• An interest in internal developer platforms, self-service capabilities, developer portals, and improving developer productivity.
• Bring a product and user-focused mindset, strong ownership, curiosity, and pragmatic problem-solving to turn evolving needs and feedback into reusable platform solutions and clearly communicate technical trade-offs.
• Fluent spoken and written English, including the ability to participate actively in meetings, explain technical designs, prepare documentation, and collaborate daily with international teams.
