Medication Refill Coordinator
Job Description: Position Summary: Supervised by a Registered Nurse, the medication refill coordinator guides our patients through a seamless process to ensure that their medications are refilled in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Job Functions: Provide patient service according to the community standards for outpatient care, Family Medicine protocols/procedures, hospital standards, and professional nursing standards of practice.
Salary Range: $19.50 - $25.00 an hour
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Job Requirements: Qualifications: • Education: HS diploma or equivalent required, Medical Assisting or Medical Secretary in an outpatient medical practice setting preferred • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an outpatient care setting preferred. • License/Certification Required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification preferred. • Required Skills: • Demonstrate a basic level of computer proficiency • Understanding of medical terminology • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and diverse patient populations.
Population Served: Culturally diverse population, neonates through geriatrics.
