Support Staff-Substitute-Food Service Assistant (St. Cloud Area)
Job description: These positions assume responsibility for preparing or assisting in preparation, cooking, and serving of a variety of foods in an elementary or secondary school food service program.
On-Call Food Service Substitute Positions Available in the St. Cloud Area
Work on an as-needed basis at schools throughout the St. Cloud area. Using the Frontline online system, you can choose the schools and dates that best fit your schedule from available assignments.
Daily availability is not required; however, substitutes must accept assignments on a regular basis to maintain active status. Individuals who remain inactive for 30 days or more may be removed from the substitute system.
Required qualifications, skills and experience: High School Diploma or GED
Ability to take oral and written instructions and follow through efficiently and to work well with others.
Some experience and knowledge of quantity food preparation and use of equipment used in quantity food preparation.
Must be willing and able to:
-Lift and carry items or objects weighing up to 50 pounds and up to 55 pounds with assistance
-Withstand a wide range of temperatures (hot, non-air-conditioned environment and freezer)
-Stand for longs periods of time
-Use cleaning chemicals
-Operate commercial kitchen equipment
-Part-time (3.75 hours/day)
-On call, as needed basis
-Required to work at various schools within the area
-Schedules will vary
