Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year
Requirements: Experience with CrowdStrike EDR, Cisco ISE, Mimecast, Tessian or equivalent email DLP, Intune, Entra ID, Active Directory, Palo Alto Firewalls, WAF, Menlo Security, and networkingStrong understanding of security frameworks and compliance, including PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, and CISRelevant certifications including CISSP, Crest Practitioner Security Analyst (CPSA), and Palo Alto Network Certified Security Operations ProfessionalAbility to work collaboratively and demonstrate integrity, respect, inclusion, personal impact and growth, driving high standards, commercial mindset, client-centric focus, and responsible business values Responsibilities: Maintain the CrowdStrike platform, including configuring EDR policies, tuning SIEM rules, and optimizing system performanceWork with network engineers to implement posture management, including ICE/NAC segmentation, lateral movement control, and firewallsCollaborate with InfoSec to align CrowdStrike and other security platforms with our security strategy and policiesLead or participate in incident response efforts, conduct root cause analysis, and develop runbooks for incident handlingMonitor for security threats, analyze alerts, respond to incidents using CrowdStrike and other security tools, conduct vulnerability scans, and support remediation and risk mitigationOversee WAF, DDoS, VPN, and perimeter firewallsWork with the Endpoints team to administer MFA, SSO, PAM, MDM/MAM, and Conditional AccessMaintain security certificates, encryption keys, and IDS/IPS systemsCollaborate with third-party penetration testers to identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilitiesCreate detailed reports on detected threats, incidents, and response actions, and document configurations, processes, and runbooksKeep informed of the latest cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and updatesComply with all relevant legal and regulatory obligations, including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Standards and Regulations and Principles Technologies: Active DirectoryCiscoSupportNetworkSecurityVPNWAF More:
We are a newly established SecOps team working to strengthen our infrastructure security posture and incident response capabilities. This Cyber Security Engineer role reports directly to the Infrastructure Platforms Manager and plays a pivotal part in transitioning to a zero-trust operating model, supporting our pursuit of ISO 27001 certification and implementation of CIS controls. We offer hybrid and flexible working, subject to the requirements of the role and manager approval.
