Salary: £63,000 - 103,000 per year
Requirements: We need significant experience in Application Management Services or Managed Services roles.We need extensive experience working with UK public sector clients, including central government, local government, health, or arms-length bodies.You must hold or be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC).We need a strong understanding of public sector procurement processes, including RFI, RFP, ITT, and frameworks.We need proven experience in AMS solutioning and estimation, pre-sales support and bid leadership, service transition and mobilisation, and delivery governance and assurance.You must be able to operate comfortably at multiple levels, from CxO stakeholders to L2/L3 engineers.We need the ability to adapt communication style for technical, operational, and executive audiences.We need solid knowledge of ITIL-based service management principles.We need excellent written and verbal communication skills, including senior client presentations.We need strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.Desirable: experience operating within UK public sector frameworks such as G-Cloud, DOS, or Technology Services frameworks.Desirable: familiarity with application landscapes including ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle, bespoke and COTS applications such as Salesforce or MS Dynamics, and integration or middleware platforms.Desirable: experience with service management tools such as ServiceNow.Desirable: experience working in a matrixed or global delivery model. Responsibilities: Act as the AMS subject matter expert for public sector opportunities.Support qualification of AMS opportunities with sales and account teams.Lead responses to RFIs, RFPs, and ITTs, including written responses and bid reviews.Design AMS solutions covering service scope, support models, operating models, tooling, automation, service management, security, compliance, and public sector standards.Develop cost models, estimates, and pricing aligned to commercial and margin targets.Present solutions to clients, lead solution walkthroughs, and support commercial negotiations.Work with delivery teams to mobilise and transition new AMS engagements.Define service governance, SLAs, KPIs, and reporting.Establish service management processes aligned to ITIL.Ensure operating models meet public sector requirements, including data protection, security, and compliance.Provide ongoing delivery assurance across AMS engagements.Chair or support service governance forums with clients.Act as an escalation point for service, commercial, or delivery risks.Ensure contractual commitments, SLAs, and outcomes are consistently met.Support resource planning and mobilisation for AMS engagements.Work with delivery leadership to identify skills gaps and capability needs.Contribute to reusable AMS assets, accelerators, and best practices.
