About this role

Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements: We need real depth in several areas and the appetite to pick up the rest.We need you to have shipped production UE5 C++ work, including subsystems, data-driven configuration, garbage-collection lifetime, and plugin/module architecture with clean dependencies. We need you to have driven Movie Render Queue from code rather than the editor UI for unattended rendering. We need you to have written custom AnimGraph nodes evaluated on the animation thread and worked with MetaHuman characters in production. We need you to have authored or modified Sequencer content at runtime and diagnosed timing issues. We need you to have debugged UE multithreading, including task graph and worker-to-game-thread handoff. We need you to have designed and defended a JSON contract between Unreal and an external service, with enough C# to co-edit the model. We need you to have consolidated an inherited codebase by separating live from dead code with evidence and removing it safely. Responsibilities: We build an automated video production pipeline on Unreal Engine 5 where structured job data is transformed into finished video featuring digital presenters, rendered unattended. We harden the existing end-to-end prototype while developing new features. We work across runtime C++, animation systems, Sequencer and Movie Render Queue, in-scene graphics, artist tooling, and the build and packaging path.We collaborate daily with the Principal Architect to realise technical direction and challenge plans when needed. We work on MetaHuman and animation topics such as character assembly, grooms and cloth, RigLogic and DNA assets, LiveLink faces at runtime, Animation Blueprints, custom AnimGraph nodes, Control Rig and RigVM, IK Rig and Retargeter, curve-driven facial animation, and neural inference through NNE.We work on Sequencer and Movie Render Queue topics such as level sequences and sub-sequences, Control Rig parameter tracks, cine cameras, audio and event tracks, Movie Render Graph, deferred passes, console variable control, encoder settings, and deterministic unattended renders. We work on graphics and scenes, including data-driven UMG and Slate, render-to-texture surfaces, Rich Text and Text3D, Lumen, ray tracing, Virtual Shadow Maps, hair strands, and disciplined material hierarchy. We build and light virtual studio environments that remain economical enough to render at volume. We work on pipeline and infrastructure including Unreal Build Tool and Automation Tool, cooking and packaging, source-engine builds, Linux cross-compilation, Vulkan, containerised NVIDIA GPU rendering, Plastic SCM, Automation Framework tests, and profiling with Unreal Insights. We also handle the boundary with a C# service that feeds the engine its data, including shaping the data contract. iGame Media ingests, transforms and distributes video and data for rights holders and betting operators. We are building an automated video production pipeline on Unreal Engine 5 that renders unattended, with correctness, determinism, and clear failure reporting being critical because rendering faults land in delivered output. We work remotely, the pay starts from £75,000.00 per year, and the content we render is licensed from rights holders, so territory, entitlement, and distribution-window obligations are production-critical. We ask applicants to send a CV and a short note about one unattended or automated rendering problem they have solved, and a link to shipped work is more useful to us than a cover letter.
