Salary: £24,000 - 60,000 per year
Requirements: We are looking for a self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a demanding operations team and has a keen interest in infrastructure and technology.We expect good knowledge of cloud and virtualisation technologies, networking principles, and Windows Server architecture and services.We need a good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and the Azure platform.Experience of a major cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.Experience of managing and using SaaS solutions.Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Terraform, or Ansible.Experience with cloud networking and private cloud network interconnects such as ExpressRoute or DirectConnect.Experience implementing and managing Internet services, WAN/LAN/VPN data communications.Working knowledge of networking standards, hardware, and protocols.Experience with network monitoring and management systems such as SolarWinds HCO and NPM.Experience with unified communications telephony partners such as Microsoft Teams.Experience with server and PC operating systems such as Windows 11 and Windows Server.Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.An awareness of or willingness to learn IT Service Management (ITIL).An awareness of or willingness to learn switch and WiFi deployment, Extreme Networks, and XIQ Cloud.An awareness of or willingness to learn security solutions such as Check Point and Azure firewalls.An awareness of or willingness to learn Microsoft Exchange Online with Exchange SE hybrid on-prem.An awareness of or willingness to learn Microsoft Entra ID and Office 365 with E5 licensing.An awareness of or willingness to learn document management systems and other core legal applications.An awareness of or willingness to learn physical infrastructure including network/server hardware, cabling, and datacentres.An awareness of or willingness to learn patch management systems including Azure Update Manager, SCCM, and WSUS.An awareness of or willingness to learn Microsoft SQL Server setup, licensing, and Azure SQL management.An awareness of or willingness to learn call management solutions and workflow tools such as NiCE CXone and ServiceNow.An awareness of or willingness to learn Zscaler ZPA and ZIA, Client Connector, Zero Trust Security, or equivalent services.Able to create and maintain records and knowledge articles with high attention to detail.Proficient in cloud, hardware, and software products and able to deliver accurate documentation, reports, and processes as needed.Ability to multi-task and oversee multiple projects with tight deadlines and perform accurately under pressure.Detail-oriented, well-organised, self-motivated, and able to solve problems independently.Able to work collaboratively as part of a wider team with the best interests of the team and our customers paramount.Able to exceed expectations in a performance-managed environment. Responsibilities: We will provide 3rd line support for our global Data and Voice Network Infrastructure, Platforms, Servers, and Systems.We will play key roles in migrations and deployments to support our cloud-smart approach.We will provide comprehensive support for our physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructure, including wired and wireless networks, e-mail, telephony, and SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS platforms.We will provide professional support so that our clients receive consistently excellent services.We will follow Incident, Request, Change, and Problem Management procedures aligned to the ITIL framework.We will support, operate, and manage the delivery of operational platforms, hardware, operating systems, and core technologies, including provisioning, documentation, and maintenance.We will assist with escalations from the out-of-hours support team when IT operations expertise is required, following an on-call rota.We will maintain and develop the integrity and security of all components across network and operational platforms, including data.We will work with suppliers and other IT services teams to ensure the smooth delivery of products to the firm.We will contribute to testing processes and support infrastructure for internally or externally developed applications and implementations.We will stay aware of advances in technology, new software applications, and new hardware to advise other employees.We will create and maintain records, knowledge articles, documentation, reports, and processes with a high level of accuracy.
