Salary: £66,000 - 106,000 per year
Requirements: We require a degree, HND, or equivalent in a relevant Engineering, Data, or IT subject.We are looking for experience in the defence industry in related architecture and data roles.We need technical pre-sales or Product Line Architect experience.We need experience with architecture methodology for complex systems.We require strong data and application experience, with underpinning infrastructure solution development and experience undertaking a technical design authority role.We need experience designing and modelling current and target architectures for data solutions.We require experience producing technical documentation to a high standard.We would value experience governing architecture or detailed designs throughout the project lifecycle.We would value previous solution development and implementation experience on large-scale data projects.We would value TOGAF 9 or a similar industry-recognised architecture certification.We would value vendor-related technical competence qualifications such as MCITP, VCP, CCSE, or CCNP.We require the ability to be a UK National and achieve Security Clearance (SC) without caveats.We generally require UK residency for the last 5 years for full SC eligibility, with some cases allowing a minimum of 3 years residence in the UK over the last 5 years with additional overseas checks. Responsibilities: We support the realisation of solutions through architecture, delivery, roll-out, operation, and full systems lifecycle management.We support Data Thinking workshops with business and customer communities, identifying opportunities for proofs of concept and enhancements to our solutions.We act as a data solutions architect in customer engagements, delivering technical artefacts and developing solutions.We develop solutions for where data can bring value to our offers and our customers.We provide oversight and support across the project delivery lifecycle to ensure solution integrity and business outcomes are achieved.We support the Customer Enterprise Data Architect in coordinating data landscaping and cataloguing for Thales UK.We support the Customer Enterprise Data Architect in creating and influencing UK MoD standards for Data Management and Architecture.We work with the Digital Platforms and architecture teams to deliver customer data management and analytics solutions.We meet with internal and external stakeholders to develop a clear understanding of needs and business requirements.We deliver solution designs that meet strategic needs and collaborate with teams to implement them.We support the development of strategies and plans for stakeholders to ensure collaboration across organisational boundaries.We work to implement third-party data integrations to support internal and external use cases.We work collaboratively with squads and technical roles to identify common issues and opportunities to improve operational and strategic delivery.We are accountable for creating technology architecture deliverables.We horizon-scan for disruptive technology trends affecting the business and provide practical advice and best practices to address them.
